Our Policies

A non-refundable deposit of $500 is required to reserve a kitten. Deposits are accepted once kittens reach 4 weeks of age and are secured on a first-come, first-served basis after approval of your inquiry. The remaining balance is due in full before pickup or delivery of your kitten. Deposits may be transferred to a future litter only if your chosen kitten becomes unavailable due to health reasons confirmed by our veterinarian. Deposits are not refundable for buyer's remorse or change of circumstances. We encourage all prospective families to ask questions and schedule video calls before placing a deposit.

We provide a one-year genetic health guarantee covering hereditary conditions including Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy (HCM), Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), and Polycystic Kidney Disease (PKD). This guarantee requires verification of the condition by a licensed veterinarian within 14 days of diagnosis. In the event of a confirmed genetic condition, we offer either a replacement kitten of equivalent value from a future litter or a partial refund per our policy schedule. The guarantee does not cover conditions caused by neglect, improper diet, trauma, or failure to follow our care guidelines. All kittens must receive a veterinary examination within 72 hours of arrival.

All kittens sold as pets come with a spay/neuter contract requiring sterilization by 8 months of age. Proof of alteration from a licensed veterinarian must be provided to The Maine Coon Palace within 30 days of the procedure. Breeding rights are available exclusively to established, ethical breeders who pass our screening process. Breeding-right kittens require an additional investment and come with a separate contractual agreement outlining ethical breeding standards, health testing requirements, and registration obligations.

Delivery costs are the responsibility of the adopting family and are not included in the kitten's purchase price. We offer three delivery methods: professional flight nanny service (from $450), climate-controlled ground transport (from $350), and complimentary in-person pickup at our cattery. All transport arrangements are made after full payment is received. Flight nanny bookings require at least 7 days advance notice. Ground transport timing varies by destination. We reserve the right to refuse transport to any destination where we cannot guarantee the kitten's safety and comfort.

We unconditionally accept any kitten back into our care at any point during its lifetime, no questions asked. This is our lifetime commitment to every cat we produce. Rehoming fees may apply depending on circumstances and the kitten's age. If you are unable to keep your Maine Coon for any reason, please contact us immediately. We will work with you to arrange a return or, if preferred, help facilitate a responsible rehoming process through our network of approved families. We never want any of our kittens to enter a shelter system.

We respect your privacy. Personal information collected during the adoption process is used exclusively for communication regarding your kitten, delivery arrangements, and follow-up care support. We do not sell, share, or distribute your information to third parties under any circumstances. Photos and testimonials shared by adopting families may be featured on our website and social media with explicit permission. You retain the right to revoke this permission at any time by contacting us. All communications are handled professionally and confidentially.
